PODĚBRADY
Poděbrady (50 km from Prague) is a spa town on the river Elbe surrounded by meadows and natural parks. The town is famous for its natural mineral water sources, which are applied in bath procedures as well as in drinking cures. This spa town, where people with cardiovascular diseases are treated, was founded in 1908. The spa area includes colonnades, accommodation for patients, hospitals and a spa park with 13 mineral springs. Visitors can visit the glassworks of Bohemia Crystal and witness the making of the famous Bohemian Crystal Glass.
